We’re proud to announce that we are seeking two individuals to join our team as summer interns. As an intern, you’ll be working alongside the region’s most qualified telecommunications experts and making a tangible impact on our clients.
IT/ Network Analyst Intern
Location: Fargo, North Dakota
As an IT/Network Analyst Intern, you will assist in the research, design, and implementation of IT Network systems for CNE and our external clients. You will be an integral part of making recommendations to clients about the proper hardware and software systems required to meet their specific needs.
You will assist in server virtualization deployments, configuration and deployment of server and network hardware, and creating processes for bolstering network security. You’ll work to produce documentation and network drawings and provide technical support as needed.
Candidates must currently be working towards a technical degree or have applicable work experience. It’s preferred that you have experience using AutoCAD and Visio, along with general computer competency.

OSP Engineering Technician Intern
Location: Fargo, North Dakota
As our OSP Engineering Technician Intern, you’ll provide design assistance and construction supervision of telecommunications outside and construction projects. You’ll have the chance to work on-site to perform inspections and supervise outside plan construction to ensure compliance with the project’s specifications.
You will prepare digital construction drawings and staking sheets. Using the Visio and AutoCAD software programs, you will be developing these materials for CNE and our clients. Other responsibilities include GPS Mapping, recording as-built records, and updating construction drawing with as-built data. Overnight and extended travel will be required while we work to meet the high demand during the summer months.
Candidates with an associate’s degree in telecommunication, drafting, or construction management are preferred. It’s also preferred that candidates have experience or working knowledge of utility construction. In a collaborative position, excellent organization and communication skills are required.
