OSP Engineering Technician | We’re Hiring

CNE is hiring! We are looking for an experienced OSP Engineering Technician to join our team. The OSP Engineering Technician will provide design assistance and construction supervision of telecommunications outside plant construction projects. They will prepare construction drawings, including electronically drawn staking sheets (Visio) and maps (AutoCAD). More duties include preparing construction units and progress reports, easement acquisition, as well as performing onsite inspection and supervision of the outside plant construction. The OPS Engineering tech will also do GPS mapping and provide updates to the construction drawing. This position works outdoors in a variety of conditions. Some requirements of this position include overnight/extended travel as well as mandatory overtime during construction season.

Specific qualifications for this position are a minimum associates degree in telecommunications, drafting, construction management, or another related field experience with AutoCAD is preferred, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visio.  Additional qualifications include a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, as well as a successful background check.
