Who we are...
Formed through the acquisition of two well-respected and industry-leading telecommunications engineering firms, Communications Network Engineering (CNE) is a 100% employee-owned company with locations in Fargo, North Dakota, and New London, Minnesota. Because we’re an employee-owned company, we are all owners and responsible for our success. As a result, we hold each other accountable to do the right work for the right reasons. We are professional engineers, and we take that responsibility very seriously. As an industry leader, CNE offers planning and funding, COE and OSP engineering, operations assistance, mapping/right-of-way/permitting and IT services. Our interactive approach with our clients results in finding the right solution for the application.
The CNE team provides services to telecommunications providers including rural cooperatives, privately held corporations, municipalities and county governments, and is among the industry leaders in FTTP engineering/deployment. CNE has experience with FTTP dating back to the mid-1990s. Our leadership team and key staff members were involved with the first two RUS FTTP field trials, and their combined experience and insight are second to none. We currently provide services for clients in Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. With a dedicated and experienced staff, CNE strives to keep our clients in the forefront of this fast-changing telecommunications industry and do so at affordable costs to our clients. In 2021, CNE was acquired by Moore Holding Company. Moore Holding Company is based in West Fargo, North Dakota, and aims to bring the advantages of an ESOP to a larger group of employee-owners by expanding their family of companies and fulfilling their mission of serving a sustainable community of employee-owners.
